RESEARCH at ift

Research program at IFT has been aimed to have better control and a more dynamic approach in several areas of Food Science and Technology, including Food Fermentations and Probiotics; Short term storage, processing & low cost packaging of fruits & vegetables, cereals, pulses and oilseeds; technology & value addition of indigenous products.

Final year M.Sc. Students undertake research project, the results of which are embodied in a THESIS, and this is an essential component of the academic curriculum. Projects in conjunction with Food industry or Institutions are strongly encouraged.

  Fortunately , regarding it, The Institute is getting a continuous, welcome cooperation from a number of Institutes and Food Industries of our country. The Institute recognizes their efforts and is thankful for it.
