    Institute of the Food Technology, Bundelkhand University has decided to have a vision of ideas and activities to be furnished in the year 2016, with the objective of continual development of the Institute.

    All the activities shall be documented with full details on www.iftbu.in , which is already online with personal technical efforts for designing and hosting i.e. using BSNL as (ISP), Internet Service Manager (IIS) of Windows 8.1, Free DNS from no IP.com, Domain from Godaddy.com  @ Price Rs199 per year only.

    Permission from University administration may require for its authenticity.

 Objective 1. To Improve the academic environment of study by enforcing the students and teachers to have cent percent attendance. Daily attendances of the students shall be online at www.iftbu.in for both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and a message of the absence of the student shall be sent to the parents on mobile/e-mail. Course structure and syllabus of are required to be updated/modified as per CBCS guidelines.

Objective 2. To Ensure the students for their visit, training and placement in the Food Industries/Institutions of the country. It require a collaboration by signing a MOU in-between and a direct approach of contact. Regarding the objective a database of student’s profile with contact details, and links to Indian Food Industries and Institutions has been under construction at http://www.iftbu.in/student.htm and http://www.iftbu.in/indian_institutions.htm  subdomains of  www.iftbu.in but there shall be separate domains for training and placement like www.iftbutraining.in and/or www.iftbuplacement.in  and it is possible to have it only in Rs.199 per year. Idea shall provide a platform for the students, faculty and Industries to interact with their need and expectancy.  It is a continual work and requires significant efforts therefore a faculty shall be designated as the Coordinator for this work, and the work of the faculty shall be obliged for his personal promotion.

Objective 3.  To Setup a Laboratory functional for at least evaluating proximate composition of food including water, fat, protein and Sugar etc. An e-manual of experiment’s with details including objective, requirements, principle, methodology, observation and precautions etc. is under construction at http://www.iftbu.in/experiments.htm and http://www.milkquality.in. A record of the available resources in the laboratory is also required to be online. Continual supply of the laboratory items is also required to be ensured from administration.

Objective 4. To Setup an another laboratory for microbiological analysis i.e. for isolation, identification and counting number of microbes in food etc.

Objective 5.  To develop a database of lectures in html, ppt and  pdf or avi format and their online availability for students. A few lectures have already made available on http://www.foodtechnology.net.in/ and http://www.dairytechnology.in.

Objective 6. To improve the on-time/un-delayed  systems of admission and examination.

Objective 7. To prepare and implement an annual calendar of students activities like visit to food industries, Institutions, AHAAR/Trade faire,  Industrial training, celebration of world food day, welcome fresher’s or farewell etc.

Objective 8.  To improve the research capabilities and contribute towards publications.

Objective 9.  To Setup  CCTV cameras in the Institute.

Objective 10.  To popularize the Institute for better intake of students.

Objective 11.  To organize special lectures/workshop/seminar with the persons from reputed industry or academic institutions.

 

 

Constraints/Limitations

 

Limitation 1: Irregular/Interrupted/Faulty power supply system. Have 02 online UPS but there is uncertainty of battery supply and repairing. In last 15 years they have been used maximum for 2 to 3 years only.

Limitation 2:  Irregular and incomplete supply of Laboratory items.

Limitation 3: Delayed process of examination and result declaration due to absence of e-system in the process of question paper setup, collection and printing.

Limitation 4: Ignorance of official letters in communication with administration.

Limitation 5: Bakery Plant is not functional since its setup.

Limitation 6: Lack of computer systems.

Limitation 7: Unavailability of technical assistants in laboratory.

Limitation 8: Lack of dynamic and dedicated Professor in the Institute.

Limitation 9: Underutilization of building capacity for space.

Limitation 10: Poor repairing and maintenance for electrical, civil works.
